Construction teams have broken ground at 212 West 124th Street, the site of a new affordable housing tower within the Marcus Garvey Village complex in Central Harlem. From developer Carthage Real Estate Advisors and Body Lawson Associates Architects and Planners, the new building is expected to debut next winter.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for 224 West 124th Street, an 18-story mixed-use building in Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by Fischer + Makooi Architect and developed by Carthage Advisors, the structure yields 168 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 51 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $73,715 to $187,330.
Construction is underway for Marcus Garvey Village, an 18-story mixed-use development in Manhattan’s Harlem neighborhood. Developer Carthage Real Estate Advisors has revealed new details surrounding a major redevelopment of the Ennis Francis Houses in Harlem. If approved, the long-dilapidated housing block would be demolished and replaced by two new residential buildings offering a combination of affordable and market-rate homes.
Located on West 116th Street between 5th Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard, an 11-story building will soon rise at 20 West 116th Street and house 29,540 square feet of residential space. The project is being designed by GF55 Partners and developed by Carthage Advisors, and will replace the old Harlem Baptist Temple Church, which was partially demolished back in 2009.
