Elected officials and developers recently gathered to celebrate the commencement of construction at 13-12 Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway, Queens. Designed by Urban Architecture Initiatives and developed by BRC and Camber Property Group, the eight-story property will include a mix of 147 deeply affordable units, 100 shelter units with supportive services, tenant amenities, and a community facility.

HPD Reveals River Commons Affordable Housing Property in Concourse, The Bronx

The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) has revealed the first of two new affordable housing properties in the southwest corner of The Bronx. Located in Concourse near the intersection of River Avenue and East 168th Street, Site A will eventually debut as River Commons and will comprise 278 affordable apartments.

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) has formally announced its development partners who will help complete a major rehabilitation project at Edenwald Houses, one of the oldest and largest public housing developments in the agency’s portfolio. The portfolio comprises 40 residential buildings spread across 48 acres in the Edenwald section of The Bronx.

Developed by Camber Property Group in partnership with Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement (HCCI), the New York City Department of Housing Preservation & Development, and the New York City Housing Development Corporation, the building is designed by Aufgang Architects.
