Four-Story, Six-Unit Residential Building Filed At 727 Lafayette Avenue, Bedford-Stuyvesant

Property owner Cyrous Akhavan has filed applications for a four-story, six-unit residential building at 727 Lafayette Avenue, in central Bedford-Stuyvesant, three blocks east of the G train’s stop at Nostrand Avenue. The building will measure 5,000 square feet, which means units will average 833 square feet. Russell Dance’s Queens-based RLD3 Engineering is the applicant of record, and the site’s dilapidated two-story predecessor was demolished late last year.

Revealed: 44 Kent Street, New Greenpoint Rental Development

Earlier this year, YIMBY found an on-site drawing for a new development coming to 44 Kent Street, in Greenpoint. The plans were originally created for Cayuga Capital, but the firm sold the property for $8,750,000 last year to an LLC. Now, we can reveal that Pinny and Moishe Loketch of the Loketch Group are the new developers, and the design has also seen major changes, with Nataliya Donskoy’s ND Architecture and Design taking over the project.

Three Stories, Six Residential Units Planned At 653 Hinsdale Street, East New York

Dawanna Williams, of BCDL Real Estate Development, has filed applications for twin three-story, three-unit residential buildings at 653-655 Hinsdale Street, on the western edge of East New York, three blocks from the L train’s stop at New Lots Avenue. The buildings will each measure 3,636 square feet, which means the units — four of six are indicated as duplexes — will average 1,212 square feet. Jose Carballo’s Hackensack, NJ-based JCA Group is the applicant of record, and the plot of land is currently vacant.

Seven Two-Family Residential Buildings Now Planned At 731-743 Autumn Avenue, East New York

Earlier this month, YIMBY reported on applications for three two-unit residential buildings at 731-735 Autumn Avenue, on the eastern end of East New York near the Queens border. Yesterday, Matthew Adhoot filed applications for four additional two-unit buildings at 737-743 Autumn Avenue. The four added buildings combine for a total 11,157 square feet in residential space, which means units will average 1,395 square feet. Combined with the townhouses planned at 731-735 Autumn, the development will boast 14 residential units. Pirooz Soltanizadeh’s Queens-based Royal Engineering is the applicant of record.


1287 East 19th Street

Eight-Story, 19-Unit Residential Building Filed At 1287 East 19th Street, Midwood

Joshua Markovics’ Brooklyn-based Royal Builders Realty has filed applications for an eight-story, 19-unit residential building at 1287 East 19th Street, in Midwood, four blocks from the Q train’s stop at Avenue M. The building will measure 19,723 square feet, which means units will average 1,038 square feet. Hudson Valley-based Kenneth Thomas is the applicant of record, and two dilapidated two-story homes must first be demolished.
