Four-Story, 10-Unit Residential Building Coming To 203 Quincy Street, Bedford-Stuyvesant

Brooklyn-based Infinity Properties has filed applications for a four-story, 10-unit residential building at 203 Quincy Street in western Bedford-Stuyvesant. The project will measure 10,866 square feet and its residential units should average 748 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. One of the apartments on the fourth floor will feature space on an upper penthouse level. Forest Hills-based ARC Architecture + Design Studio is the architect of record. The 38-foot-wide, 3,750-square-foot plot was occupied by a three-story townhouse until that was demolished this past summer. The Bedford-Nostrand Avenues stop on the G train is four blocks away.


2570 Flatbush Avenue

Raymour & Flanigan Planning New Two-Story, 55,300-Square-Foot Store At 2570 Flatbush Avenue, Mill Basin

Raymour & Flanigan, the furniture retailer based in upstate New York, has filed applications for a two-story, 55,300-square-foot commercial-retail building at 2570 Flatbush Avenue, located on the corner of Avenue V in Mill Basin across Flatbush from the King’s Plaza Shopping Center. Retail space will occupy both levels of the 30-foot-tall structure. S9 Architecture is the architect of record. The project will take up most of the block, which is bound by Flatbush Avenue, Avenue V, Hendrickson Street and Hendrickson Place. Multiple single-story commercial buildings must first be demolished. The retailer has a location across Avenue V from the site of their new building. It’s probable that Raymour & Flanigan will vacant their existing space once their new building has completed.

Developer Plans Luxury Residential After Closing On Former Senior Facility at 1 Prospect Park West, Park Slope

Sugar Hill Capital Partners has closed on the purchase of the vacant nine-story, 169,410-square-foot former senior residential facility at 1 Prospect Park West, located on the corner of Plaza Street West in Park Slope, for $84 million. The developer plans to convert the building, called Prospect Park Residence, into luxury residential units. It wasn’t specified whether they will be rentals or condominiums. Since Sugar Hill entered into contract for the property in 2014, a number of controversial evictions have taken place, some ending in buyouts and settlements, The Real Deal reported.



1404 Bushwick Avenue

Permits Filed For Six-Story, 10-Unit Residential Building At 1404 Bushwick Avenue, Bushwick

An anonymous Brooklyn-based LLC has filed applications for a six-story, 10-unit residential building at 1404 Bushwick Avenue in eastern Bushwick. The project will measure 12,290 square feet and its residential units should average 898 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. Robert Bianchini’s Forest Hills-based ARC Architecture + Design Studio is the architect of record. The 40-foot-wide, 3,000-square-foot site is currently occupied by a three-story townhouse. Demolition permits have not been filed. The Chauncey Street stop on the J and Z trains is a block away.
