Three-Story, Six-Unit Residential Project Planned At 202 61st Street, Sunset Park

An anonymous Brooklyn-based LLC has filed applications for a three-story, six-unit residential project at 202 61st Street, located on the corner of Second Avenue in Sunset Park. The new building will measure 5,433 square feet and its residential units, which could be either rentals or condominiums, should average 905 square feet apiece. Shiming Tam’s Brooklyn-based architecture firm is the architect of record. The 27-foot-wide, 2,717-square-foot property is vacant. The project will not include any off-street parking, and the 59th Street stop on the N and R trains is four blocks away.


208 Nostrand Avenue

Five-Story, Two-Unit Mixed-Use Building Planned At 208 Nostrand Avenue, Bedford-Stuyvesant

An anonymous Brooklyn-based LLC has filed applications for a five-story, two-unit mixed-use building at 208 Nostrand Avenue, in western Bedford-Stuyvesant. The projec, measuring 7,649 square feet, will contain a synygogue on the basement and cellar levels, followed by a duplex apartment on the first and second floors, topped by a triplex apartment on the third through fifth floors. Timothy Lee’s Elmhurst-based architecture firm is the architect of record. The 20-foot-wide, 2,000-square-foot lot is occupied by a three-story townhouse. Demolition permits have not been filed. The Myrtle-Willoughby Avenues stop on the G train is three blocks away.

New Renderings Revealed For Five-Story, 10-Unit Residential Expansion at 207 South 3rd Street, Williamsburg

Last year, YIMBY gave you the first look at the residential expansion planned for 207 South 3rd Street in Williamsburg. Now we’ve got new renderings of the project, which is under construction at the corner of Roebling Street. The updated images show factory-style windows, glassy balconies with landscaping, and a gray brick facade. However, the boxy, protruding shape and the double-height ground floor remain the same as the original design.

Permits Filed for Pair of Five-Story Buildings at 3603 Farragut Road, East Flatbush

East Flatbush hasn’t seen much development action since the 421-a tax break expired in January. But a little market-rate project is coming to the hood, possibly spurred by renewed negotiations over the controversial policy. A pair of five-story residential buildings may replace a detached house at 3603 Farragut Road, at the corner of Brooklyn Avenue in East Flatbush.

Brooklyn-based property owner Angle Martinez has filed applications for a three-story, 3,956-square-foot office building at 156 11th Street, located on the southern end of Gowanus. The ground through third floors will contain commercial-office space. The cellar will be available as accessory space to the offices above. Mohammad H. Baalbaki’s Staten Island-based Baalbaki & Associates Engineering is the applicant of record. The 20-foot-wide, 2,000-square-foot lot is occupied by a three-story townhouse. Demolition permits were filed in September. The Fourth Avenue/Ninth Street stop on the R, F, and G trains is three blocks away.
