The Hendrik Nears Completion at 509 Pacific Street, Boerum Hill, Brooklyn

The Hendrik is nearing completion, and today YIMBY has an update on the project, at 509 Pacific Street, in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, thanks to Tectonic. The building is a large development, with 33 condominiums designed for families who love townhouses and modern amenities. Scaffolding on Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Street still remains and sheds along the sidewalk obscure vision of the entranceway and masonry along Pacific Street, as seen in the rendering, but the Beyer Blinder Belle-designed exterior is just about finished.

Renderings Revealed for Proposed Addition at 82 John Street, DUMBO, Brooklyn

Renderings have come out depicting the removal of a single-story garage at 82 John Street, in DUMBO, Brooklyn, to be replaced with a five-story building. Permits have not been filed, so details about the project are not yet final, and the plans will go through the LPC later today.

Construction Nearly Complete at 15 Lafayette Avenue, Downtown Brooklyn

Downtown Brooklyn’s 15 Lafayette Avenue has risen to its full height, with façade installation now complete. Photographs by Tectonic reveal that the structure now stands its full 12 stories, and the exterior has been fully installed. The 138-foot tall building was designed by Dattner Architects, and interiors are not yet finished.

Historic Domino Sugar Factory Redevelopment Sees Major Update, Williamsburg

Two Trees’ plans for the Domino Factory redevelopment have seen several shifts over the years, but progress is already underway across several of the sites comprising the masterplan, which entails thousands of new units across a multitude of towers. Now, the full plans for the actual Domino Factory redevelopment are out, and they have seen substantial revisions as Vishaan Chakrabarti’s PAU, aka, Practice for Architecture and Urbanism, has taken the helm for the project’s design.

The lot at 200 Kent Avenue is now clearing out for a six-story commercial building, for which renderings have also appeared. YIMBY last reported on this site in August of 2016, when two anonymous entities purchased the empty 22,640 square foot land for $33 million. The project has been shrouded in mystery regarding a potential deal with the Trader Joe’s grocery chain for 18,000 square feet of the ground floor and cellar.

First Look at 805 Washington Avenue, Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

Foundation work has begun for the six-story mixed-use building at 805 Washington Avenue, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, as seen in the latest from Tectonic. Construction crews have cleared away much of the lot, and steel has been installed along the perimeter. The site is just a block away from the Brooklyn Museum in Prospect Park, and the Brooklyn Botanical Garden is also nearby.

An anonymous LLC has filed permits for a six-story mixed-use building at 950 55^th Street, in Borough Park, Brooklyn. The site is nine blocks away from the Fort Hamilton Parkway Subway station, serviced by the N, Q, and W trains. Slightly further away is the 55^th Street station, serviced by the D train. The area has a vibrant Asian community, with dozens of busy restaurants and markets along the nearby 8^th Avenue corridor.

Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 325 Gates Avenue, in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The site is seven blocks away from the Bedford-Nostrand Avenue station serviced by the G train, and eight blocks away from the Franklin Avenue station, serviced by the A and C trains. It is nearby the Pratt Institute’s Brooklyn Campus, which could mean it will be marketed towards college students or recent graduates. Renaissance Realty Group is developing.

Groundbreaking, Reveal for New Brooklyn Public Library at 107 Norman Avenue, Greenpoint
