Façade Installation Progresses on One Willoughby Square in Downtown Brooklyn

Exterior work is continuing to progress on One Willoughby Square, a 36-story, 495-foot-tall office skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. Alternately addressed as 420 Albee Square, the project is designed by FXCollaborative and is being developed by JEMB Realty, and will yield 500,000 square feet of Class A office space. One Willoughby Square is set to open as the tallest new office building in Brooklyn and is bound by Albee Square West to the east, Willoughby Street to the north, and Duffield Street to the west. Gilbane Building Company is in charge of construction on the project.

550 Clinton Avenue Reaches 29-Story Pinnacle in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn

Construction has topped out on 550 Clinton Avenue, a 29-story residential tower in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by Hope Street Capital, the structure rises from a four-story podium bound by Atlantic Avenue to the south, Clinton Avenue to the east, and Vanderbilt Avenue to the west. The 280,000-square-foot development will yield 284 apartments and about 60,000 square feet of retail area.

Foundations Underway for Pacific Park’s 595 Dean Street in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn

Foundation work has begun at 595 Dean Street. a pair of residential buildings in the Pacific Park complex in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by TF Cornerstone, the project will yield 800 residential units, 72,600 square feet of public open space, ground-floor retail space, 455 underground parking spaces, and a Chelsea Piers Field House, the first in Brooklyn. The development is bound by Pacific Street to the north, 550 Vanderbilt Avenue to the east, 535 Carlton Apartments to the west, and Dean Street to the south.

Affordable Housing Lottery Launches for The Garnet in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn

The affordable housing lottery opened yesterday for The Garnet, an 11-story mixed-use development at 1620 Fulton Street in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Developed by BFC Partners and designed by Shakespeare Gordon Vlado Architects, the 106,672-square-foot building will yield 130 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 94 units for residents at 50 to 150 percent of the area median income, ranging in eligible income from $25,372 to $184,200. Approximately 50 percent of the apartments will be set aside for community board residents.
