A rendering has been unveiled for 89 Maspeth Avenue, a 100-percent affordable development in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn with 311 residences. The design architect is Architecture Outfit and the architect of record is Magnusson Architecture and Architecture, with 89 Maspeth Avenue being developed in a joint venture between Hudson Companies and local non-profit St. Nicks Alliance. The 18-story, 457,444-square-foot tower will be located between Olive Street and Bushwick Avenue and within walking distance of the Graham Avenue subway station, serviced by the L train.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 218 Front Street in Vinegar Hill, Brooklyn. Located between Bridge and Gold Streets, the lot is within walking distance of the York Street subway station, serviced by the F train. Cheskel Schwimmer under the Chess Builders LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications. Urban Realty Partners purchased the site in October 2021 for $49 million.
A consortium of private developers recently closed on a $600 million loan to complete renovations and infrastructure upgrades across a 1,673-unit NYCHA public housing portfolio. Boulevard Together Developer LLC, a joint venture with The Hudson Companies, Property Resources Corporation, and Duvernay + Brooks, is undertaking the refurbishment of a total of 29 buildings in East New York.
