Roughly a year ago, YIMBY reported on filings calling for a seven-story, 32-unit residential building at 1255 Bushwick Avenue, in southern Bushwick, and now construction is beginning at the site, where only the façade of the former church stands. According to Brownstoner, the building will measure 21,897 square feet, so units will average a condo-sized 1,368 square feet. Brookland Capital is developing, while Issac & Stern Architects is designing.

14-Unit Condo Project Filed At 227 Clarkson Avenue, Prospect Lefferts Gardens

Brookland Capital has filed applications for a six-story, 14-unit residential building at the vacant lot of 227 Clarkson Avenue, in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, a two minute walk from the Winthrop stop serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. The building will measure roughly 10,000 square feet, which translates to units averaging 715 square feet; surprisingly, they will be condominiums. The site was acquired for $1.35 million earlier this year, according to DNAinfo, and Feingold & Gregory Architects is designing.

Six-Story, 19-Unit Residential Project Planned For 1222 Putnam Avenue, Bushwick

Brookland Capital has filed applications for a six-story, 19-unit residential building at 1218-1222 Putnam Avenue, in central Bushwick. The building will measure 14,264 square feet, which translates into an average 750 square feet per residential unit. Feingold & Gregory Architects is designing, and an existing two-story townhouse must first be demolished.
