Another new addition to Morrisania, in The Bronx, is just months away from completion, at Melrose Commons North Site C, also known as Elton Crossing. YIMBY last reported on the building in September of 2014, when renderings were revealed. Briarwood Organization and Phipps Houses are responsible for development.
Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building in the Bronx’s West Farms neighborhood. Geraldo Zefi will be developing 1295 Rodman Place, just two blocks away from the West Farms Square subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains.
Permits have been filed for a four-story building at the Rebekah Rehab and Extended Care Center. The site, 1118 Havemeyer Avenue, is on the north-west corner of the half-block owned by the rehabilitation, in the East Bronx. The 6 train is just seven blocks away, at the Castle Hill Avenue Subway station.
The Bronx boom continues apace, and today, YIMBY has the reveal for building two of the Concourse Village West affordable housing project, designed by Aufgang Architects, which will rise at 702 Grand Concourse, in Concourse Village.
Permits have been filed for two new 12-story residential buildings in The Bronx’s Fordham Heights neighborhood. Manhattan-based UA Builders Group is developing the site, located at 2065 and 2067 Ryer Avenue, and the pair will be among the taller buildings in the area, which is mostly dominated by five and six-story apartment blocks. The site is four blocks from the Tremont Ave. and 182-183rd Street Subway Stations for the B and D trains.
