Reveal for Six-Story, 77-Unit Residential Building Proposed at 1 Dekalb Avenue, White Plains

Renderings have been revealed of the six-story, 77-unit residential building proposed at 1 Dekalb Avenue, located on the corner of Maple Avenue in White Plains. The project was initially proposed to the city back in September and the White Plains Common Council is expected to vote on it by the end of the year, the Journal News reported. The units would be rental apartments and the new building would include a 103-car underground parking garage.

Four-Story, 21-Unit Residential Building Proposed at 662 Summit Avenue, Jersey City

An anonymous LLC has proposed to develop a four-story, 21-unit residential building at 662 Summit Avenue in Jersey City. That’s on the corner of Route 139 in the Heights. The project would also include 12 off-street parking spaces, Jersey Digs reported. The site consists of a small, vacant lot and a single-story commercial warehouse at 165 St. Pauls Avenue, which have to be demolished. The Jersey City Zoning Board of Adjustment must approve the project.


286 Lenox Avenue

Four-Story, 19,000-Square-Foot Commercial Building Filed at 286 Lenox Avenue, Harlem

An anonymous Midtown East-based LLC has filed applications for a four-story, 18,987-square-foot commercial building at 286 Lenox Avenue. That’s between East 124th and 125th streets in Harlem. The project will include 15,012 square feet of commercial space in total. Retail space will be located on the ground floor, followed by office space on the second through fourth floors. Staten Island-based Gambino+LaPorta Architecture will design the 58-foot-tall structure. The 44-foot-wide, 3,792-square-foot property is occupied by a two-story commercial building. Demolition permits haven’t been filed.

Two-Story, 10,500-Square-Foot Fire Station Filed at 305 Cross Bay Boulevard, Broad Channel

The Broad Channel Volunteer Fire Department has filed applications for a two-story, 10,510-square-foot fire station at 305 Cross Bay Boulevard, in Broad Channel, Queens. The new facility will feature a garage, offices, and storage space on the ground floor, an equipment room on a mezzanine level, and a meeting room, a kitchen, additional offices, and a dormitory on the second floor. John D. Calcagnile’s Howard Beach-based architecture firm is the architect of record. The 23,004-square-foot plot of land is vacant.


165 Pleasant Plains Avenue

Twin Three-Story, Two-Family Houses Coming to 165 Pleasant Plains Avenue, Pleasant Plains, Staten Island

Staten Island-based developer Jayden Estates has filed applications for two three-story, two-family houses at 165-171 Pleasant Plains Avenue, in Pleasant Plains. That’s along Staten Island’s South Shore. The structures will measure 4,637 square feet each and, across both, the residential units should average a family-sized 1,738 square feet apiece. Each house will feature a built-in, single-car garage. Peter J. Calvanico’s Staten Island-based Calvanico Associates is the architect of record. The 11,614-square-foot property is occupied by a two-story, single-family house. Demolition permits were filed in May.
