An LLC has filed applications for a four-story, 16-unit residential building measuring 15,800 square feet at the lots 1702-1706 Newkirk Avenue, in southern Flatbush. Richard J. Walsh, of Citiscape Consulting LTD, is the architect of record, and an existing three-story wood-framed structure must first be demolished.
Crain’s Business reports Nike has leased 147,000 square feet of office space at the Durst Organization’s 42-story, 570,000 square-foot mixed-use building at 855 6th Avenue, in Midtown South. The third through sixth floors will by occupied by Nike, and their lease will include the 15,000 square-foot outdoor deck. The building was revealed by YIMBY in 2014, and completion is expected in early 2016.
An LLC has filed applications for a five-story, 42-unit mixed-use building measuring a total of 29,530 square feet spanning the lots 37-02 – 37-10 34th Street, in northern Long Island City. JLS Designs is designing, and a commercial retail component will amount to nearly 1,000 square feet. An existing two-story building must first be demolished.
Per Crain’s Business, the City has picked Monadnock Development to develop a mid-rise 208-unit all-affordable mixed-use building at the vacant lot of 133-45 41st Avenue, in Downtown Flushing; the de Blasio administration has made an effort to redevelop that specific underutilized lot. The project is being dubbed One Flushing, and retail and community space is planned for the ground floor; Bernheimer Architecture is designing.
The property owner of the vacant triangular lot at 1698 Boston Road, in Charlotte Gardens, just east of Crotona Park, has filed applications for a single-story, nearly 5,500 square-foot commercial building. Draft Master Engineering is the architect of record.
