Developer Lands Construction Loans for 24-Story Project At 525 West 52nd Street, Hell’s Kitchen

The Real Deal reports Taconic Investment Partners has landed $200 million in construction loans for their 24-story, 392-unit mixed-use project at 525 West 52nd Street, in Hell’s Kitchen. YIMBY brought you news of the project almost exactly a year ago, and Handel is designing. Seventy-nine residential units are expected to be set aside as affordable, and the site’s former five-story structure was demolished in 2014.


5716 New Utrecht Avenue

Three-Story Mixed-Use Project Filed at 5716 New Utrecht Avenue, Borough Park

Property owner Issak Tavalov has filed applications for a three-story, two-unit mixed-use building measuring 2,830 square feet at the vacant lot at 5716 New Utrecht Avenue, in southern Borough Park. Retail space will measure 850 square feet on the ground floor, and Sandor Weiss, of Gelu Durus Musica, is the architect of record.

Steiner NYC Plans to Redevelop Admiral’s Row At Brooklyn Navy Yard

The New York Times reports Steiner NYC is planning to redevelop the dilapidated site of Admiral’s Row, at the corner of Flushing Avenue and Navy Street at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. A 74,000 square-foot Wegmans is planned in a four-story, 126,000 square-foot building along Flushing Avenue. A 78,000 square-foot building is also being restored at the southwest corner of the site, but the majority of the other structures will be demolished. Opening is expected in 2017.


505 Grand Street

Six-Story Mixed-Use Development Coming To 505 Grand Street, Williamsburg

Property owner Ashourzadeh Manny, doing business under 501 EMR LLC, has filed applications for a six-story, 14-unit mixed-use building at 503-505 Grand Street, in central Williamsburg. Measuring a total 11,720 square feet, commercial space will take up 2,630 square feet, and the remainder will be residential. BMG Design Build is designing, and a three-story townhouse must first be demolished.
