GFI Realty Services is marketing the property, which boasts 22,365 square feet of mixed-use building potential, or 29,820 square feet if affordable units are included. If sold at asking price, the property would go for $268 per buildable square-foot; in January, residential development in the neighborhood reached $154 per buildable square foot.
The Bed Stuy Blog reports the once-dilapidated three-story building at 405 Gates Avenue, in western Bedford-Stuyvesant, is currently being renovated and refurbished to its original commercial use. The original façade is expected to be kept, and Marianna Russo is designing. According to permits, Harriet Williams is the owner of the building.
