City agencies will soon review amended proposals to redevelop the former Peninsula Hospital site in Edgemere, Queens into an 11-building mixed-use complex. The development’s final scope of work arrives a year after residents and community members were invited to provide commentary and feedback on initial plans.
Developer RXR Realty and construction partner BCG recently celebrated their first temporary certificate of occupancy (TCO) at 475 Clermont, a 12-story development in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. The 363-unit, 400,000-square-foot structure contains a mix of residential homes and retail space. The TCO comes one month ahead of schedule and will allow occupancy to occur two months earlier than originally planned. Aufgang Architects is behind the design for the mixed-use rental building, which will contain 73 units for affordable housing and below-market rates.
Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 872 Bronx Park South in West Farms, The Bronx. Located between Mohegan Avenue and Honeywell Avenue, the interior lot is six city blocks west of the East 180th Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Permits have been filed for a 19-story mixed-use building at 1169 River Avenue in Concourse, The Bronx. Located between McClellan Street and East 167th Street, the interior lot is steps away from the 167th Street subway station, serviced by the 4, B, and D trains. Christoper Lacovara of Community Access, a NYC supportive housing and social service non-profit for people with mental health concerns, is listed as the owner behind the applications. They currently have two other projects currently underway in the Bronx, one on Bruckner Boulevard and another on East 172nd Street.
