Hotels are cropping up all over Williamsburg and Bushwick, but over the weekend, we spotted plans for a six-story hotel in a rather unusual spot – on Broadway in Bed-Stuy, next to the border with Bushwick. The 65-foot-tall building would rise at 1200 Broadway, between Lafayette Avenue and Van Buren Street.

Ofer Prager has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 1528 Bergen Street, in eastern Crown Heights, six blocks south of the A and C trains’ stop at Utica Avenue. The building will measure 6,609 square feet in total, which means units will average 826 square feet apiece. One of the units on the fourth floor will also include a fifth-floor penthouse, according to the Schedule A. Forest Hills-based Arc Architecture + Design Studio is the architect of record, and permits were filed in October to demolish an existing single-story house. This isn’t the day’s first news from Ofer Prager, as another project is planned at 1545 Bergen Street.
Brooklyn-based Ofer Prager has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 1545 Bergen Street, in eastern Crown Heights. That’s five blocks south of the A and C trains’ stop at Utica Avenue. The building will measure 5,838 square feet in total, which means units will average 730 square feet apiece, indicative of rentals. One of the fourth-floor units will also feature a fifth-floor penthouse. Arc Architecture + Design Studio is the architect of record. A recessed two-story house must first be demolished.
Brookland Capital is one of Brooklyn’s most prolific small developers, with projects stretching from South Williamsburg to Flatbush. And today YIMBY has a better look at 447 Decatur Street, one of Brookland’s small Bed-Stuy developments.
Late last year, YIMBY reported on applications for a 15-story hotel at 41-32 27th Street, in Long Island City, and since then, filings have been amended to instead build a 46-unit apartment building. Today, the site has been cleared of its two-story predecessor and almost completely excavated, per The Court Square Blog. The new building will measure 34,409 square feet, which means units will average 748 square feet apiece. A 1,131 square-foot outdoor space is also planned on the roof. Arc Architecture + Design Studio is designing, and completion is expected in early 2017.
