YIMBY Tours Waterline Square as Completion Nears, Upper West Side

Façade installation is coming to an end for Waterline Square, a five-acre project overlooking the Hudson River. The three towers are being constructed simultaneously so that residents will have the benefit of moving into a finished mini-neighborhood inside the Upper West Side. Once complete, a lush public space will unite the residential buildings and retail center, containing several eateries. GID Development Group is responsible for the venture.

Excavation Imminent for 17-Story, 39-Unit Residential Project at 269 West 87th Street, Upper West Side

Excavation work is imminent at 269 West 87th Street, on the Upper West Side, where a 17-story, 39-unit residential building called The Chamberlain is under development. Photos reveal two excavators and a pile driver, among other materials, currently staged at the property. The latest building permits indicate the project will encompass 115,884 square feet and rise 215 feet to the top of its mechanical bulkhead.



200 East 95th Street

28-Story, 104-Unit Mixed-Use Tower Rises to 13th Floor at 200 East 95th Street, Upper East Side

Construction has reached the 13th floor on the 28-story, 104-unit mixed-use tower under development at 200 East 95th Street (a.k.a. 1681 Third Avenue), on the Upper East Side. The construction progress can be seen thanks to a photo posted to the YIMBY Forums. The latest building permits indicate the tower, dubbed the Kent, will eventually encompass 317,664 square feet and rise 392 feet to its pinnacle. It will have 13,225 square feet of retail space across the ground floor and the first cellar level. The residential units above, which will be condominiums, will range from two- to five-bedrooms, averaging 2,500 square feet apiece. Extell Development Company is the developer and Beyer Blinder Belle is behind the architecture. Champalimaud has been tasked with the interiors and West 8 is the landscape architect. Completion is expected in 2017.
