The building is known as Tower B in a two-skyscraper development along with the adjacent 601 West 29th Street from FXCollaborative and Douglaston Development. Hudson 37 LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Eleventh Avenue and West Street.

601 West 29th Street Tops Out, Will Bring 200+ Affordable Housing Units to Hudson Yards, Manhattan

This week Douglaston Development announced the topping out of 601 West 29th Street, a mixed-use residential tower that will bring 703 market-rate and 235 affordable housing residences to West Chelsea. The 60-story skyscraper encompasses an entire block on 11th Avenue from West 29th to West 30th Streets on the border of West Chelsea and Hudson Yards. In addition to the 938 rentals, components include over 50,000 square feet of amenity space and 15,000 square feet of retail space. FXCollaborative is responsible for the design of the 695-foot-tall building, with Levine Builders handling construction.

There will be 260 residences averaging 741 square feet apiece. Some of the homes are planned to be rentals, but the exact breakdown has not been revealed.

Demolition Wraps for Two New Residential Skyscrapers at 601 West 29th Street, Next to Hudson Yards

Demolition has completed at the site of 601 West 29th Street in Hudson Yards for an upcoming 695-foot-tall, 58-story skyscraper designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Douglaston Development. Meanwhile, the adjacent lot is almost cleared for a 520-foot-tall, 42-story tower at 606 West 30th Street, which is being developed by Lalezarian Properties and designed by Ismael Leyva Architects. The two structures will share the parcel of land between 29th Street and 30th Street to the west of Eleventh Avenue.
