Excavation has progressed significantly at 555 West 38th Street since YIMBY last checked in on the Hudson Yards site in late August. Construction workers have ripped up all of the asphalt from the parking lot that formerly occupied the property and have unearthed a substantial amount of dirt. The plot will eventually give rise to a 52-story residential skyscraper designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects and developed by Rockrose. Located directly across Eleventh Avenue from the Jacob K. Work is set to begin at 555 West 38th Street, the site of a 52-story residential skyscraper designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects. Located to the north of the first phase of Hudson Yards along Eleventh Avenue, the property sits directly across from the new expansion of the Jacob K. Javits Center and a couple streets south of the Lincoln Tunnel entrance. Machinery is on site in preparation for the excavation of the asphalt-covered lot to make way for the 570-foot-tall tower. New permits have been filed for a 52-story residential building at 555 West 38th Street in the Hudson Yards district of Manhattan. While the site is across the street from the Jacob Javits Convention center, it is not immediately next to Related’s mega-development, being five blocks away from 55 Hudson Yards. Rockrose will be responsible for the development.
