Today’s housing lottery round-up features three buildings in Brooklyn’s Bushwick, Bed-Stuy, and Downtown Brooklyn neighborhoods with available affordable units on Housing Connect with deadlines closing within the next seven days.
1098 Madison Street
The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1098 Madison Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The four-story residential building is designed by L&C Associates and yields eight units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are two units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $66,000 to $139,620.
Jack David has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 1098 Madison Street, in central Bushwick, four blocks away from the Gates Avenue stop on the J and Z lines. Residential units will measure an average 680 square feet, putting the building within the realm of typical rental construction. Suresh Manchanda’s L&C Associates applied for the permit, and an existing single-family townhouse must first be demolished.
