Work has completed at 1050 Sixth Avenue, a 24-story building designed by Gene Kaufman Architects and developed by Skyline Developers. Called ML House, it sits to the south of Bryant Park by the corner of Sixth Avenue and West 40th Street. The tower is fully enclosed and features 62 studio to two-bedroom units that are now 50 percent leased. This is the only ground-up residential rental building surrounding Bryant Park.

The Gene Kaufman designed-1050 Sixth Avenue, dubbed ML House, is making significant progress in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan. In a break from the architect’s norm, the building will not be hospitality-minded; rather, it will yield 24 floors of apartments, as well as ground-floor retail space. The site is half a block away from Bryant Park, with access to several subway lines just a few blocks in any direction. Orin Wilf’s Garden Homes and Skyline is responsible for the development.

Foundation work is underway on the 24-story, 62-unit mixed-use building under development at 1050 Sixth Avenue, located between West 39th and 40th streets in Midtown near Bryant Park. The progress can be seen thanks to a photo posted to the YIMBY Forums. The latest building permits indicate the project will measure 62,886 square feet and stand 299 feet to the top of its bulkhead.
