Downtown Jersey City will soon be home to a massive outdoor sculpture commissioned by Le Frak and Simon. Entitled “Water’s Soul,” the sculpture will stand 80 feet tall and resembles a woman, eyes closed, coyly shushing pedestrians walking around her.
The Department of City Planning is now reviewing proposals from EMP Capital Group to construct a pair of mid-rise, mixed-use buildings in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The buildings will be constructed across eight zoning lots but will debut as 1034 and 1042 Atlantic Avenue.
The New York City Council has approved proposals to construct a new 18-story mixed-use building at 840 Atlantic Avenue in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by IMC Architecture and developed by Atlantic-Vanderbilt Holdings LLC, the structure will contain a mix of market-rate and income-restricted apartments, retail space, a community arts center, and a sub-grade parking garage.
The first rendering has been revealed for 1330 East 17th Street, a seven-story residential building in Midwood, Brooklyn. Designed by local architect Grigori Zinkevitch and developed by Lati Properties, the wedge-shaped building will yield 45 rental apartments and a sub-grade parking garage.
Google will no longer be a tenant of the 1.7 million-square-foot St. John’s Terminal campus—the tech giant will purchase the entire development. Located in Hudson Square, Manhattan, the commercial campus comprises three distinct buildings at 315 Hudson Street, 345 Hudson Street, and St. John’s Terminal at 550 Washington Street.
