Development Site At 169 Graham Avenue Could Yield Residential Building, Williamsburg

A building assemblage at 169 Graham Avenue, which includes 150 Meserole Street, in eastern Williamsburg, could yield a new 13,700 square-foot residential development. The 5,625 square-foot parcel was acquired in February for $7.5 million by SYG Realty, and permits to demolish the existing three-story structure at 169 Graham Avenue were approved in May. According to Brownstoner, new building applications have yet to be filed.


432 Van Brunt Street

Four-Story, Single-Family Townhouses With Art Galleries Filed At 432 Van Brunt Street, Red Hook

Marlboro Builders has filed applications for three four-story, single-family townhouses spanning the vacant lots 430-434 Van Brunt Street, in Red Hook. The buildings will be spread across 8,535 square feet, and situated on the first floor of each building will be an art gallery. Between the three buildings, the total space for said community facility will measure 1,222 square feet; Eric Safyan is designing.


139 Bowery

11-Story Mixed-Use Office/Residential Building Approved For 139 Bowery, Lower Manhattan

Applications filed in mid-2014 have been approved for 139-141 Bowery between Broome and Grand Streets, where Global Joint Venture’s plans an 11-story, 16-unit mixed-use building. Measuring 34,900 square feet, retail space will occupy the ground floor, while office space will take up floors two through five. A 550 square-foot medical facility will also be located on the second floor; residential units will occupy floors six and above. Three-story buildings currently occupy the site, and Raymond Chan is designing.


436 East 13th Street

Revealed: Two-Building Residential Project At 436 & 442 East 13th Street, East Village

Renderings have been revealed of Amirian Group’s and Bridgeton Holding’s planned two-building residential development, dubbed Thirteen East + West, at 436 & 442 East 13th Street, in the East Village. At both sites, six-story, six-unit residential buildings were filed with the DOB last December, both measuring a spacious 10,000 square feet. Thomas Vail (of Vail Associates Architects) is designing. The existing two-story buildings were approved for demolition in April.


100 Willoughby Street

57-Story Tower At 100 Willoughby Street Wraps Up Exterior Construction, Downtown Brooklyn

In March, YIMBY checked in on the construction of AvalonBay’s 57-story, 861-unit mixed-use building going up at 100 Willoughby Street, in Downtown Brooklyn, and now Brownstoner notes cladding is wrapping up around the upper levels of the nearly topped-out structure. Dubbed AVA DoBro, the tower will have 15,000 square feet of retail space in its base, and the first six residential floors should be ready for move-ins by September; the entire building will open in early 2016, and SLCE is designing.
