Three Stories, Four Residential Units Planned At 322 Robinson Avenue, Eltingville, Staten Island

Staten Island-based Andrew Esposito has filed applications for twin three-story, two-unit residential buildings spanning the lots at 322-326 Robinson Avenue, in Eltingville (on Staten Island’s South Shore). The four total residential units will average 960 square feet apiece, and each unit will have one off-street parking spot. Stanley Krebushevski’s SMK Architect is the applicant of record, and permits were filed in July to demolish the existing single-family home.

Two Stories, Four Residential Units Planned At 206-07 48th Avenue, Bayside

Pik Wan Cheng, doing business as Flushing-based Realty 188 LLC, has filed applications for twin two-story residential buildings spanning the lots of 206-07 – 207-09 48th Avenue, in southern Bayside. The development will total four residential units — two in each building — and units will each average 1,137 square feet each. Flushing-based Chang Hwa Tan is the architect of record, and permits were filed in July to demolish an existing 2.5-story structure.


22-44 Jackson Avenue

Excavation Begins At 22-44 Jackson Avenue, Site of Two-Tower, 1,116-Unit Mixed-Use Project In LIC

Permits were filed and YIMBY revealed renderings last summer of G&M Realty’s planned 48- and 41-story, 1.2 million-square-foot mixed-use development at 22-44 Jackson Avenue, at the former site of 5 Pointz in Long Island City. Now, excavation is finally in full swing, The Court Square Blog reports. Thomas O’Hara’s HTO Architect is designing the 1,116-unit project, which also includes 39,765 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Completion is currently expected in the winter of 2017.

Baldor Specialty Foods Expanding Hunts Point Facility At 155 Food Center Drive

Baldor Specialty Foods is planning a 100,000 square-foot, $20 million expansion at their food-manufacturing and distribution facility at 155 Food Center Drive, in the southern part of Hunts Point. According to The Wall Street Journal, the current facility measures 193,000 square feet, and the expansion will mostly include new temperature zones for produce, as well as new loading docks.

Work Begins At Seven-Story, 17-Unit Mixed-Use Project At 49 Broadway, Williamsburg

Work has begun on a seven-story, 17-unit mixed-use building at 49 Broadway, in Williamsburg, two blocks in from the East River, according to DNAinfo. Hess Management is developing the 17,207 square-foot building, which will feature 5,293 of commercial-retail space on the ground and second levels. A 352 square-foot doctors office is planned on the ground floor, and starting on the third floor, residential units averaging 680 square feet begin. Jeffrey Kamen is designing.
