Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 110 West 123^rd Street in Harlem, Manhattan. The site is two blocks away from the 125^th Street Subway Station on Malcolm X Boulevard, serviced by the 2 and 3 trains. Four blocks further is the Harlem 125^th Street Train Station, for Metro-North. Also nearby is the Marcus Garvey Park, a square four-block-wide area with a recreation center and the Richard Rogers amphitheater.

The lobby at 1345 Avenue of Americas has been renovated, and today, YIMBY has an exclusive first look inside the space. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill were commissioned by Fisher Brothers to redesign the interior. The owners wanted to replace the original white and tan marble with a brighter, more spacious lobby, and the photos indicate that the architects have accomplished exactly that.

Construction Update, New Rendering for 587 Main Street, New Rochelle

When we last checked in on 587 Main Street in New Rochelle, New York, it was barely noticeable on the skyline, rising just six flights up. Now, thanks to photos by Nick Ramacciato, we can see that the structure has made substantial progress. Work is currently up to the 20th floor, out of a total 28. Façade installation has not yet started, though the angled shape of the building is easily visible. Paulus, Sokolowski, and Sartor (PS&S) are responsible for the architecture, and a fresh rendering also gives a better view of what the top floors will soon look like.

Rendering Revealed for 1702 Newkirk Avenue, Flatbush, Brooklyn

A rendering has been revealed for the six-story residential building set to rise at 1702 Newkirk Avenue, in Southern Flatbush, Brooklyn. The concrete design showcases a small amount of landscaping along the outside of the entrance, and eight balconies, with two on each floor after the third. Bizdesigns is responsible for the architecture.

Permits Filed for 85, 87 Herkimer Street, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for two conjoined four-story residential buildings at 85 and 87 Herkimer Street, in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The sites are two blocks away from the Fulton Street and Nostrand intersection, co-located with the Nostrand Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the A and C trains. An anonymous LLC is listed as responsible for development.

Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 215 Beach 100^th Street, in Seaside, Queens, a portion of the Rockaway Peninsula. Rockaway beach is just three blocks away, and four blocks to the east is the Beach 98^th Street Subway Station, serviced by the A and S trains. AHAA LLC will be responsible for the development.

Rendering Revealed for 62-66 North Third Street, Williamsburg, Brooklyn

A new rendering is out for 62 and 66 North Third Street, two six-story mixed-use buildings in Brooklyn’s flourishing Williamsburg neighborhood. The nearest subway access is the L train’s first stop in Brooklyn, the Bedford Station. The site is just a block away from the river, five blocks south of the State of New York East River Park, and five blocks north of the Domino Sugar Factory development, where a ferry station may soon be built. David Dweck, Steven Ancona, and Michael Marino have joined together for the development.

FXFOWLE-Designed School Revealed at 1-35 57th Avenue, Hunter’s Point South, Queens

Permits have been filed for a four-story, 612-seat public elementary school at 1-35 57^th Avenue, in Queens. The project comes as part of the redevelopment of the formerly-derelict Hunter’s Point South neighborhood, along the East River. The area has been activated over the last decade thanks to several residential towers and the HPS Park, alongside a new ferry terminal, which is just a four blocks away from the proposed school. The Vernon Boulevard Subway Station is also eleven blocks away, serviced by the 7 train. The New York City School Construction Authority will be responsible for the development.

Permits Filed for Enormous Single-Family Home at 1050 East 3rd Street, Midwood, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for a three-story residence at 1050 East 3^rd Street in Midwood, Brooklyn. The site comes three blocks away from the Avenue I Station, serviced by the F trains. Five blocks away is the historical Washington Cemetery. An anonymous LLC will be responsible for the development.

Permits have been filed for a six-story community facility at 132-49 41^st Avenue, in Flushing, Queens. The site is four blocks away from the Main Street Subway Station, the last stop for the 7 Train in Queens. The surrounding area is a relatively dense commercial district compared to the rest of the borough, with the Queens’ Botanical Gardens located seven blocks south. Five blocks further is Flushing Meadows Corona Park. BDW Realty will be responsible for the development.
