  1. This is great. Finally development on the eastern end of Fordham Road is coming to fruition.

660-668 East Fordham Road was also successful as the new city council member did not assume jurisdiction and the ULURP not vetoed by the mayor. The previous borough president had disapproved on that plan due to a limited number of 2-3 bedroom apartments, and the community board over parking of course.

  2. I hope to see several large developments with some actual height for all those parking lots/gas stations /underutilized lots closer to the zoo.

    • Corridor is C4-5D, residential equivalent would be R7D which is pretty good density.

“Quality Housing bulk regulations, mandatory in R7D districts, produce ten-story buildings set at or near the street line. The base height of a new building must be 60 to 85 feet before setback, rising to a maximum building height of 100 feet, or 105 feet if providing a qualifying ground floor.”

  3. Hurray!
    More Buildings!
    More People!
    More Density!
More Traffic on our streets, subways and busses, etc.,
    While our fragile infrastructure
    continues to crumble.
