The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1056 Manhattan Avenue, a seven-story mixed-use building in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The 56,746-square-foot development is developed by Bruman Realty and will yield 90 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 27 units for residents at 80 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $45,086 to $139,620.

Amenities include a gym, business center, package lockers, bike storage lockers, laundry service, a garage with assigned parking spaces, a recreation room, and a rooftop terrace. Units will have dishwashers, air conditioning, name-brand kitchen appliances, and hardwood floors.

At 80 percent of the AMI, there are two studios with a $1,208 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $45,086 to $76,400, 14 one-bedrooms with a $1,233 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $46,560 to $85,920, and two two-bedrooms with a $1,493 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $56,400 to $103,120.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are nine one-bedrooms with a $2,592 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $88,869 to $139,620.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than August 9, 2021.

    I received a disability check every month plus I have HASA who covered $1.550 every month for rent, and I would like to know if I qualify for a one bedroom appt.
