Affordable Housing Lottery Launches for 293 and 301 Hooper Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 293 and 301 Hooper Street, two six-story residential buildings in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The buildings were built in the 1910s and have 35 residential units each. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 11 recently renovated units for residents at 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $43,303 to $112,800.

The pet-friendly building’s amenities include a pedestrian friendly location, security cameras, and intercommunication devices in units. The two buildings are also close to the Hewes Street subway station, serviced by the M and J trains.

At 80 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a $1,196 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $43,955 to $72,800. There are also six two-bedrooms with monthly rents ranging from $1,335 to $1,627 for incomes ranging from $48,960 to $98,240, and four three-bedrooms with monthly rents ranging from $1,117 to $2,121 for incomes ranging from $43,303 to $112,800.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than April 7, 2021.

  8. I’m giving up.in all this so call Affordable Housing I only get $800.00. From SSI tired already of filling out Applications I’m Disabled with Multiple Sclerosis heat Related NY has become so much in Rent and Cuomo not doing anything to solve this problem

  13. Stop lying about your affordable housing. This sht has to stop. I am a hasa client that has been looking for a 1bedroom apartment for a loooooong time and nothing. When I was working, lottery denied me because I don’t make enough money. I applied for a lottery apartment that says 20,000 yearly income and guess what DENIED. I applied for NYCHA I still got denied. WTH is y’all problem. I am so outrage
