  12. I would like to know if you accept section 8? I would like to know if I qualify for an apartment? I live in an nycha apartment with my brother and pay $915 a month.

  13. This isn’t affordable housing. Whos is affordable for? Ridiculous! 70,000-159,000.

  14. @ Billie – It’s called “Section 8”.
I lived at 2-01 50th ave/Riverview Apts for five years.

My rent was $3500 per month for 1bdroom. My Section 8 neighborhoods only had to pay $200.00 per month while the Government subsidized the balance.

Of course the new Section 8 residents who didn’t work and stayed home collecting their paychecks for not working (even though they were more than capable of going to work) – loved it!

Those of us who worked and didn’t have the luxury of having our rent paid because we didn’t have a litter of kids – weren’t too pleased!

  41. these rents are not affordable, me and my wife worked all our life and we are retired. we have to pay for medical plans, meds, and federal taxesand other expenses.we would like live the rest of our lives in desant housing. i think you have to change your scales and parameters as to what is affordible. example: income, go by the net income instead of ones gross and lower the rents, so you could put more people in decent housing, especialy the older folks, thank you !!!!!!!!

  42. Every one who needs an application needs to go to nycconnect housing web site and register and or request an application. there is is a selection of Buildings available!!!!!

  43. I would like to apply for a 2 bedrooms apartment family of 3 I live in the area

Good afternoon, does the building have a property management company? I would like to apply for Superintendent if available.
