The finishing touches are going up on 11 Hoyt Street, a 620-foot-tall residential skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. Developed by Tishman Speyer and designed by Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang with Hill West Architects as the architect of record, the exterior of the 57-story project now appears complete, with all of its elegantly sculpted façade panels installed. Michaelis Boyd Associates is leading the interior design for the property’s 481 residential units, which will come in a total of 190 different layouts, and Edmund Hollander of Hollander Design is in charge of landscaping for the private outdoor green spaces. Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is leading the sales and marketing for the Brooklyn residences.

Recent photos show the progress since our last update in early November. Since then, the exterior hoist has been fully disassembled and nearly all of the panels filled in where it once stood. Ten floor-to-ceiling glass windows were all that remained to be completed at the time the photographs were taken. Work has also moved along on the motor courtyard on the western half of the property, and the landscaping and metal railings for the private outdoor green space are now complete. The eastern end of the podium is still mostly covered in green sidewalk scaffolding, though we don’t expect things behind the assembly to be far behind.

11 Hoyt Street’s homes will range in price from $690,000 for studios to approximately $3,500,000 for a four-bedroom layout. Residents can choose between two Brooklyn-inspired palettes, called Heritage and Classic. Occupants can also enjoy 55,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities that will be located across multiple levels, highlighted by the 32nd-floor Sky Club, the third-floor Park Club, and Hollander Design’s elevated 27,000-square-foot private park. Other amenities include a fitness and aquatic center curated by The Wright Fit, a 75-foot-long saltwater pool, a squash court, men’s and women’s locker facilities, steam showers, sauna, massage, and relaxation rooms, and a yoga/group fitness studio.

Streaked on the structure were streamed, within design to tall appeared and straightly stamped: Thank you.

  2. Another mediocre tchotchke/sculpture masquerading as thoughtful design. It’s just rippled frosting on a bland cake. Maybe someday someone will rethink apartment living, common space and the public realm enough to generate some meaningful form, but until then, we’ve got Celebritect 2.0 making permanent marketing billboards.

  3. At last, 11 Hoyt Street is nearly completed. I still quite like this building, even though most people say otherwise. Regardless, there’s just something about a newly completed building that just feels so good, isn’t there?

  4. I still don’t get the motor court. The 2/3 is across the street, A/C/G just a block down Hoyt. Half a dozen other lines a short walk away. I’d be dumbfounded if many people moving right next to Fulton mall chose to drive.

  5. Are birds/dirt accumulation going to make those ledges less appealing about three weeks after opening? Can we get an update on that in a few months with new pictures?

  6. A very impressive, modernist skyscraper that isn’t another drab concrete box with tiny windows like they used to build in the 60s and 70s in many cities across the US. It is too bad that it isn’t going to be a condominium tower where residents would own their living spaces and build up some equity.

  7. I think this one gets an A for effort but I fear it will not age well.

  8. All these Apartment buildings in Downtown Brooklyn is for the rich people, its not for someone who can’t afford it.
And to be quite honest, a lot if them are not even half occupied.

  9. The structure is amazing. Beautiful view. Seems like a good area to live.

  10. Send me a application
