Construction is wrapping up on DVORA 175, a 14-story rental building at 175 Second Street in downtown Jersey City. Designed by Fogarty Finger Architects for Shuster Development, the property features 148 apartments ranging from one- to three-bedroom layouts, many of which include a private balcony or outdoor terrace. Leasing also began recently for the development, with monthly rents starting at $2,995.

Recent photos show the finished look of the building, which is located at the corner of Second Street and Marin Boulevard on the border of the Powerhouse Arts District, Hudson Exchange, and The Waterfront. The structure is almost entirely complete, with only minor ground-floor work around the main entrance awaiting completion.

The exterior features a mix of dark gray zinc panels, glass railings, and white Alucobond metal fins and panels. Metal fences and sidewalk barriers were seen temporarily blocking off the sidewalk in front of the complex. A black rectangular banner hangs off one of the upper corners of the superstructure showing the name of the website for the property. The most interesting feature of the design is a minimalist clock face, positioned on a blank white northern-facing wall with the DVORA name in the middle.

Homes are fitted with seven-inch wood plank floors, in-unit washer/dryer systems, custom countertops, and energy-efficient thermostats. Residential amenities include a rooftop pool deck with private cabanas, barbecues, outdoor showers, and manicured green space. Indoor offerings include a fitness center, co-working spaces, a street-level café, an enclosed parking lot with Tesla and DC Superchargers, and an electric vehicle car sharing service. The Grove Street PATH station is a short walk to the south by the corner of Marin Boulevard and Christopher Columbus Drive.

Total completion of DVORA 175 is imminent.

  1. Beautiful! Why did I criticize this building before? I think the clock is the best part here.
