Work is wrapping up on Two Blue Slip, aka 41 Blue Slip, the tallest structure to rise so far in the ten-tower Greenpoint Landing waterfront development in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The glass curtain wall is substantially complete on the 40-story residential project, which is designed by Handel Architects and developed by Park Tower Group and Brookfield Property Partners. Leasing for the 421 units launched back in February.

New photographs show the finished condition of the dark metal and glass envelope and elliptical-shaped crown. Only some minor touches on the ground floor appear to remain. Two Blue Slip contains 12 penthouse units featuring private terraces with views of the Manhattan skyline and surrounding neighborhood.

Highlighting the Gachot Studios-designed residential amenities is The Pool Club, which features a private bar, a lounge, and reservable cabanas with views of the Manhattan skyline. Other highlights include a residential lounge with a fireplace, an outdoor landscaped terrace with grilling stations and wet bars, and a two-story fitness center with a spin studio, TRX equipment, and a full suite of cardio and strength training options. Each unit comes with Latch keyless entries and home management systems, and the building provides complimentary rides to transit hubs with Via.

Directly to the south of Two Blue Slip in Greenpoint Landing is 221 West Street, a two-towered development designed by OMA. On the opposite side to the north side is Handel’s One Bell Slip, which is nearly ten floors above ground. A landscaped park along the waterfront esplanade designed by James Corner Field Operations will unite all ten buildings. Altogether, the development will create a total of 5,500 units, of which about 1,400 will be dedicated to affordable housing.

  1. I think this is incredibly beautiful, in regards to the entire project of Greenpoint Landing.
However, so far, I’ll admit my favorite is 2 Blue Slip.

  2. Such a warm and inviting complex.
