Permits have been filed for an eight-story commercial building at 2241 Church Avenue in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Flatbush Avenue and Bedford Avenue, the interior lot is two blocks west of the Church Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Also nearby is the Church Avenue station serviced by the B and Q trains. Nehalkumar Gandhi under the Church Avenue Capital LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 85-foot-tall development will yield 19,207 square feet, with 14,481 square feet designated for commercial space. The building will have 47 rooms, with an average unit scope of 308 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 38-foot-long rear yard.

Michael Kang Architect is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed in October 2019 for the three-story commercial building on the property. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  2. Prolific “hotel” developer from the looks on this site. Even with the IH bump developer opting for a “hotel” because they will get million$ from the city and evade public notice requirements. Maybe in this climate the plans will change to permanent residential units.
