Bogue Trondowski Architect has revealed new renderings of an upcoming development at 661 Driggs Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Developed by Investmates, the six-story, 15,910-square-foot building will bring a mix of residential and retail area to one of the busiest streets in the neighborhood.

The residential component will account for 11,720 square feet divided among ten individual units. Renderings show a design reminiscent of the cast-iron buildings of SoHo, with classical accents such as a row of dentil trim along the roofline. The ground floor features a dark gray curtain wall while the floors above are pictured with a contrasting bright white finish.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. At this time, an estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. This is what I see in the intricacies of architecture, with the beauty that we can touch; with our eyes and say that it is beautiful: Hello New York YIMBY.

  2. Totally. Freaking. Awesome.

  3. Didn’t really get the context of the “Soho” design but after purusing google maps found there is a similar building a few blocks away. Still an odd style homage.
