New renderings were recently unveiled by the project team for 3 Hudson Boulevard, a long-planned skyscraper at the edge of Hudson Yards in Manhattan. While construction at the property has barely reach grade-level, Boston Properties and The Moinian Group have released new specific details surrounding the future office tower.

Designed by FXCollaborative, the building will top out at around 940 feet and comprise 1.86 million square feet. The structure boasts column-free floor plates designed to maximize fit-out flexibility, private outdoor terraces for select suites, and spectacular views of Hudson Yards, the George Washington Bridge, and the nearby waterfront.

The building is designed to accommodate two major anchor tenants, one within the podium and another within the upper levels of the tower. The podium will offer 50,000-square-foot floor plates and ceiling heights in excess of 16 feet, while the area within the tower for the second anchor will offer 35,000-square-foot floor plates. Both the podium and tower anchors will have dedicated arrival areas on the mezzanine level of the building.

The construction site occupies a full city block and is bounded by Eleventh Avenue, 34th Street, Bella Abzug Park and Hudson Boulevard, and 35th Street. Estimated construction costs hover around $3 billion. The developers have confirmed that the project is expected to debut by 2023.

It’s still just another big glass box.

    • That’s OK. These designs never go out of style. If a building is too “trendy”, it may look fancy today, but downright hideous 30 years in the future.

      • I also see the reverse many buildings that were considered ugly in their time are now treasures. Why are modernist buildings considered great architecture while these are not. Glass ages well and looks fine I don’t see the problem.

    • When Her Bill Der Blasio will be out of office soon, his era of “war on glass building” along with socialist fascist “Green New Deal” will be left in history with him!!!
Glass is best material for office towers,if you want to finish them up before next recession hit hard for prospective office tenants. War on Glass is Socialist Fascist war on Freedom of Choice, including Freedom to Built Fast and Efficient our Neighborhoods and Office Parks between Recession period!!!

  2. It’s NOT in Hudson Yards, it’s adjacent and this should be noted as such.

  3. If practice makes perfect, this will be a perfect building. Let’s hope.

    • Nicer rendering than it was before, more sculpted out, proportionous setbacks, every 13 floors(?) Since building is just 53 floors total, not included roof mechanicals. Simular to 10 Hudson, 878′ to roof and 52 floors, while this one is 940′(?) and just one usable floor more. Also 1,7 mln for 10 HY and 1.86 mln for 3 HB.
