Breaking Ground, New York’s largest supportive housing provider, is set to begin construction this week on Betances Residence, a new supportive, affordable housing property at 443 East 142nd Street in Mott Haven, The Bronx. Designed by COOKFOX, Betances Residence is expected to debut in 2021 and will contain 152 units for the formerly homeless and low-income seniors.

Community facilities include on-site social services administered by the Center for Urban Community Services, and a multipurpose space that will support programming by The DreamYard Project, an arts organization that serves elementary students and young adults in The Bronx. Residents will have access to multiple outdoor spaces, a fitness room, a library, a shared lounge and multipurpose room, a medical suite, and laundry facilities. In total, the new development will span 12,000 square feet.

I live in this area and was wondering if you were hiring for construction worker no experience? Thank you in advance

  8. Deborah Muldrow & Giovanni Dangelo stop being so thirsty! Geez!!! As it clearly states in the article these apartments are for “formerly homeless and low-income seniors” if you don’t fall into either category your application will be put aside/ignored. Do you really want to reside in a building with “formerly homeless” individuals, which can mean anything to someone who is down on their luck and needs a boost to get back on their feet or an EDP/drug addict. And trust me you don’t want the former as your neighbor.

  9. pleases apart for my.
