The glass curtain wall is rising quickly on 77 Greenwich Street, a mixed-use residential project in the Financial District. FXCollaborative is the designer and Trinity Place Holdings is the developer of the 500-foot-tall reinforced concrete skyscraper, which is topped out at 42 stories. The project will feature 90 condominiums ranging from one- to four-bedroom layouts with interiors by Deborah Berke Partners.

New photos of the curtain wall show how fast work is progressing.

Retail space will be located in the 150-foot-tall podium section, as will a grade school that will use the landmarked exterior of the Robert and Anne Dickey House. The main entrance and lobby of 77 Greenwich Street is positioned along Greenwich Street on the northern corner of the site.

Amenities will include a residential lounge with a catering kitchen, a children’s playroom, a double-height fitness center, and a landscaped outdoor terrace on the ninth floor with a dog run, dining areas, and pergolas. Every unit facing west will be treated to views of the harbor and sunsets, while those facing east will see the skyline of Lower Manhattan and the morning sun.

77 Greenwich Street should be finished next year.

  1. umm, it’s not rising that fast. Yesterday was the first day it moved in 3 weeks. (I see it every morning as I brush my teeth). And the descriptions of the two views would be mostly correctly described as north and south, not east and west.

  2. “The development has restored a vertical prowess to the Financial District and the Lower Manhattan skyline”

Only rebuilt twin towers would have done that. The complex is a disappointment in terms of skyline.

  3. Is the entire one side of that building going to be left undecorate, construction grade cement, or is it going to be covered?? I hope the latter

  4. Y’all should update this story with how absolutely horrific these cementitious panels are looking now. I work across Trinity Place and so many have broken or cracked up and down the building. It looks so bad it’s quite shocking…and potentially dangerous?
