Construction on 80 East 10th Street in Greenwich Village is quickly approaching completion, with work on both exteriors and interiors nearly finished. The ten-story mixed-use building is being designed by NAVA Companies, while Parametric Development Group is developing the 26,000-square-foot structure located on the corner of East 10th Street and Fourth Avenue. Brown Harris Stevens Development Marketing is responsible for sales of the project’s 12 condominiums, which average 2,000 square feet each and have three to four bedrooms apiece, with prices ranging from $4.15 to $8.25 million. A five-bedroom penthouse has not yet been listed.

New photos show the outside curtain wall nearly finished. The bottom portion of the building massing has more regular floor plates, while the top has the more distinctive cantilevering balconies and terraces that make it stand out among the neighboring structures. These architectural gestures are somewhat uncommon for such a relatively small structure, but the massing blends well with the rest of the warm-colored facade.

The texturally pitted metal panels can best be seen on the northern corner of the building. Most of these are arranged in an irregularly off-centered radial pattern.

The building will also have 2,170 square feet of commercial-retail space on the ground floor. Amenities for residents will include a shared rooftop terrace, a package room, private cellar storage, and a bicycle room.

The structure is located four blocks away from Union Square Park, a minute away from Astor Place, and within close proximity to a lot of nearby shops and restaurants. The closest subways include the 6 train at the Astor Place station and the R and W trains at the 8th Street-NYU station.

A completion date was posted on the board for last spring, but work most likely will be finished before the end of this summer.

  1. You can cantilever some of the people some of the time. But..

  2. How are you guys so bad at getting neighborhoods right? The Village ends at Broadway, so this is absolutely not Greenwich Village. This is the northwest corner of the East Village.

  3. Yep-“More like they go with whatever the developer prefers, whether or not it has basis in reality.” LOL and they just make stuff up that no one local ever uses

  4. Some people are very entitled to criticize a free website.
