Permits have been filed for a seven-story hospital building at 313 East 13th Street in the East Village, Manhattan. Located between First Avenue and Second Avenue, the interior lot is one block south of the 1st Avenue subway station, serviced by the L train. Mount Sinai is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 130-foot-tall development will be known as Mount Sinai Beth Israel. It will yield 162,153 square feet, with 112,030 square feet designated for community facilities. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a mechanical penthouse. More details are unknown at this time.

Jeffrey Brand of Perkins Eastman Architect is responsible for the design.

Demolition was completed in August 2018 on the 14-floor building that formerly housed doctors and staff of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary facilities located nearby at 310 East 14th Street. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
