Back in 2015, plans were approved to begin construction on a number of high-end residential developments in the Downtown center of Mineola, Long Island in an effort to bolster and revitalize the growing community. That initiative includes construction of Mineola Village Green at 199 Second Avenue, a 266-unit residential project designed by local architects Stephen B. Jacobs Group for Lalezarian Properties. Today, YIMBY has the first look at renderings depicting the ongoing development.
Mineola Village Green is comprised of a U-shaped building that encircles a landscaped central plaza. A central building is positioned at the far side of the plaza which is flanked by two symmetrical wings. Rooftop amenities include multiple terraces atop each building, an outdoor pool, and a fitness center.
A double height lobby and retail areas will occupy the building’s ground level. Below, residents will have access to three-levels of underground parking.
No formal completion date has been announced, but with construction now underway, a 2020 or 2021 estimate would not be unreasonable.
