As reported by YIMBY in August of 2018, GDS Development filed permits to develop a 22-floor commercial tower at the corner of 31st Street and Broadway. Renderings have finally arrived from architects Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill (SOM) and reveal a minimalist, glowing façade and several open-air terraces.
Located at 1241 Broadway, the new office building will replace a private parking lot with more than 170,000 square feet of Class-A office space.
Office space will occupy the project from the second floor up, while ground floor areas will reportedly contain both a restaurant and lobby areas. In addition to private terraces, future occupants will have access to dedicated bicycle storage.
Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2019.

Impressive low high rise skyscraper in area what is already seen several significant new buildings. 22 story is ok, since a lot of buildings there even lower. And will be built over empty parking lot!!!
