  1. Please pardon me for using your space: Up and down details. (Hello YIMBY)

  2. Kind of too bad. That’s a lovely brick house.

  3. Please don’t be ugly. And 32 apartments averaging only 590 square feet apiece?

  4. Yes it’s a shame to see good houses turned into multiple fam dwelling units.

  5. It sold for 1.4 mil in October of 2017.

This looks like such a beautiful structure built in 1910. Such a shame to demolish it and put up a mixed use building. The problem is that once it is replaced with some modern structure you lose a piece of history that you just can’t get back.

Typical in this crappy city. Tear down nice homes to put up cheap, low-class third world country crap apartments. We all know what will go there and the kinds of people that will fill it up. BYE BYE nice house, BYE BYE green space, HELLO slobs and garbage. NYC SUCKS

Don’t have enough commercial space in this area of the Bronx? That is empty and available.
This should never happen to such a grand looking building. The Bronx is losing more and more of the old solid structure. That give the residential area a nice character. Putting up blocks and blocks of bricks. Actually brings don a neighborhood with no appeal.

  9. The owner thinks he’s smart. He filed an application to demolish the building in April and was denied by the city in May. He then bought out the tenants and will file a vacancy permit and demolish this house which btw is protected under preservation rules. But with nobody there this scumlord will get his way.

  10. I heard that he has already demolished the top floor apartment WITHOUT A PERMIT from the city and that he did it while a resident was still residing in the building. The local community should unite against this “man” and file a petition that they do not want an apartment building to be built on their block and cite the fact that with an additional 32 families (most of which will be Section 8) that parking will become a nightmare for the tax payers in the community.

  11. I feel as though this will look out of place?

  12. The owner thinks he’s smart. He demolishes each unit without the city knowing about it under cover of darkness aka night. Little does he know that there are people watching him all the time.

  13. Well they got their wish. The top floor just got burnt out now they can demolish ahead of schedule.

  14. May strife befall Lumaj!
