Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 27 East 198th Street, in The Bronx’s Jerome Park neighborhood. The site is four blocks away from the Bedford Park Boulevard Station, serviced by the D trains, and five blocks away from the Kingsbridge Road subway station, serviced by the 4 trains. Vilson Lumaj is listed as responsible for the development.

The 74-foot tall structure will yield 31,200 square feet for residential use. 46 apartments will be created, averaging 678 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. Tenants will have an 880 square foot recreational space on site, and space for 24 bicycles in the cellar.

The prolific Badaly Architects will be responsible for the design.

Demolition permits for the existing structure were in October of 2017. The estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Please pardon me for using your space: Mute but I can read details from Andrew Nelson. (Hello YIMBY)

  2. Yes another Badaly building in the Bronx.

  3. And will they create 80 to 100 parking spots as well?
