  1. Please pardon me for using your space: This is an ideal design by cool colors, color cool the most is yellow.

  2. This neighborhood isn’t Woodstock. This is Hunts Point.

  3. located on heavily truck trafficked brucker blvd, especially with trucks on way to hunts point market.

    • Modern soundproofing can alleviate the noise but not the vibrations.

      • Yup. I was recently inside one of these new Bronx affordable housing buildings right along the subway line and I didn’t even notice the elevated subway sound which was literally just outside the window. You can hear it if you stand by the window but it isn’t loud, just occasional background noise. Didn’t notice any vibration whatsoever.

I hope this is my new “forever” home.
        Fingers crossed.

  4. This building will be 400 ft to the entrance of the [express] 6 train at Hunts Point Ave, 2,175 ft from the 2 and 5 train at Simpson St, and a little over 600 ft from the coming Metro North Station at Hunts Point Ave. The SBS Bx6/Bx6, Bx5, and Bx19 all stop around the corner.

That’s a lot of transit within a very short walk.

  5. They have definitely improved that traffic area. It used to take more than 30 minutes to cross it on 163rd street. And it was a ticket trap for years getting caught in the intersection.

    • It was because they banned eastbound/left turns from southbound Southern Blvd to E 163rd St. All vehicles trying to reach the Bruckner or Hunts Point need to use Baretto St now. Also less volume on E 163rd Street in general due to the bus lane.

  6. Hello how can I apply for this building?

This is not a good living for our local residents. Living by an expressway and being exposed to constant pollution is a health risk. Can we make the Bronx sustainable? The Bronx alone makes up most of the population of people that suffers from asthma, heart disease, and lung cancer.
