Permits have been filed for two three-story residential buildings at 33 and 41 Idaho Avenue, in Prince’s Bay, Staten Island. The site is five blocks away from the Pleasant Plains Train Station, serviced by the Staten Island Railway. Idaho Custom Builders, locals to the area, will be responsible for the development.

The two 39-foot tall structures will yield 9,830 square feet of space in all, with 7,270 square feet dedicated to residential use. Four apartments will be created, with two on the ground floor, making the other two duplex units. The ground floor units will occupy 1,210 square feet, with the duplex units each measuring 2,420 square feet, likely intended for families. Two single-car garages will also be included, alongside two street parking spaces.

Calvanico Associates Architecture will be responsible for the design.

  1. The site is an unusually large 123′ x 222′ (27306 sqft) lot, so each new house will be on a relatively roomy 61.5′ x 222′ (13653 sqft) lot. The ground floor apartments are likely to be the rental units, being smaller than the duplex units. Assuming they are one-bedroom apartments they will rent in the $1200 – $1500/month range.
