The blocks between Greenwich Village and Union Square have seen several developments rise over the past few years, especially on East 12th Street, between Fifth Avenue and University Place. While NIMBYs are attempting to pass another rezoning to restrict new construction even further, that will not stop progress at 21 East 12th Street, which has now officially topped-out.

The building stands 22 floors and 309 feet to its rooftop, which is hardly tall by Manhattan standards, but is somewhat standout for the surrounding neighborhood. William Macklowe Company and Goldman Sachs are the site’s developers, and Selldorf Architects are designing. The structure has 52 condominiums, with one-bedrooms starting at just over 1,000 feet each, and four-bedrooms starting at 2,600 square feet.

Completion is likely within a year or so.

NIMBYs are the enemy with YIMBY. (Between look forward and look backward)

  2. YOUR RUINING THE VILLAGE; PEOPLE THAT HAVE LIVED THERE FOR YEARS ARE BEING FORCED DUE TO THESE DISGUSTING OUTRAGEOUS RENTS, THANKS TO YOUR GREEDY BAN OF BROTHERS. NONE OF YOU HAVE SOULS.
