Rooftop Views & Interior Update on Supertall 175 Greenwich Street, aka 3 World Trade Center, As Opening Day Approaches

Last week, YIMBY was taken on a tour of 175 Greenwich Street, aka 3 World Trade Center, visiting the rooftop, the terrace, and the lobby. The building, located in the heart of the Financial District, has made incredible progress, with the façade now complete save for windows connected to the exterior hoist. Interior work is also approaching the finish line.

432 Park Avenue Sets Single-Building Record For Highest Residential Sales in New York City

The world’s current tallest residential tower, 432 Park Avenue, has broken a record. Total sales of its condominiums have now surpassed $2 billion, and co-developers CIM Group and Macklowe Properties have made the announcement that their Midtown project has now achieved the all-time record for all of New York City. This news leaves the developers just $1.1 billion dollars shy of their expected total $3.1 billion sell-out.

New Renderings Show New York’s Future Skyline

Visualhouse sent along a rendering of the Manhattan skyline circa 2030, and the vista will be far more impressive than today’s, with supertalls set to line both 57th Street and the Far West Side. The image leaves out the new World Trade Center as well as several major projects in Midtown and on the Far West Side (and Nordstrom is also missing its cantilever), but the picture gives a good idea of the changes New Yorkers can expect over the next few years, even though the approximation is likely closer to 2020 than 2030, given that all depicted additions (besides 15 Penn) should be complete by 2018/2019.
