Construction Update: Fordham Lincoln Center Expansion & 160 West 62nd Street

Construction is coming along nicely on Fordham’s new law school & dormitory at the Lincoln Center campus, with the building’s glass now almost complete. The lower portion of the building is to be used as the law school, and is distinguished from the upper dormitory floors by a mixed facade of limestone and very large windows.

The panes of the windows on the dormitory portion are quite short, and almost give the illusion that the building is taller than it really is, which is only 22 stories.

On the Amsterdam Avenue side of the expansion, Glenwood’s 160 West 62nd Street looks to have reached the half-way point in its construction. The future rental tower now stands roughly 25 stories tall, almost halfway to its eventual height of 54 floors. No cladding has begun, but the structure has risen roughly 15 stories since the last update from October, so significant progress has been made.
